Moderator Elan Levine

Originally from Charleston, SC, Elan is a recent graduate from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary where he earned degrees in film & media studies and Jewish literature. During his undergraduate studies, Elan was an Incident Response Intern with the Anti-Defamation League, and he was a part of the team that compiled data for the 2023 Audit of Antisemitic Incidents, which was presented to Congress in the spring.

This past summer, Elan worked at Columbia/Barnard Hillel as the IACT Birthright Coordinator, responsible for overseeing Birthright Israel Recruitment and a member of the engagement team, which works with students across the undergraduate community at Columbia University, Barnard College, The Jewish Theological Seminary, and the Manhattan School of Music. Although Elan intends to pursue law school in the near future, his strong upbringing in the Charleston Jewish Community, Camp Judaea in North Carolina, and United Synagogue Youth helped him with deciding to commit himself to Jewish Communal work in the interim.
