Cherie Aviv

Cherie Aviv has volunteered throughout her adult life. Cherie holds many leadership roles within the Greater Atlanta community and has served on various boards throughout the community. Cherie has participated in JELF Loan Review Allocations for several years. Cherie created and runs the Holocaust Survivors Support Fund (HSSF) convened by Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta to raise funds and provide critical care support to Holocaust survivors in their final years. Cherie has also created many programs that reach out to older adults and their caregivers. In 2021, Cherie was awarded Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Atlanta Chapter. Additionally, Cherie is a passionate reader and runner of many races including 12 marathons.
