What does the Alembik Endowment Offer?

Who is Eligible for Alembik Support?

  • Children of Jewish Clergy: The children of rabbis and cantors who qualify and complete an application are eligible.
  • Financial Need Criteria: Students must demonstrate financial need as determined by JELF.
  • Accredited Institutions: Eligible students must be enrolled full-time in a U.S. accredited college or university.

When Should You Apply?

Alembik Funds are integrated into JELF’s regular application process, making it easy for eligible families to apply.

  • Regular Application Cycles: Eligible students should apply during the regularly-designated annual application periods.
  • Timeframe: JELF's application is open January - April (full academic year) and August - September (spring and/or summer semester(s) only).
  • Set Reminders: Visit JELF’s application page for specific info and to schedule reminders for deadlines and more.
