A Note from our CEO and Board Chair
As we continue to watch the horrific events unfolding in Israel, we acknowledge the profound impact they have on the hearts and minds of Jews around the globe.
We have been in contact with JELF beneficiaries who are currently studying in Israel or have made Aliyah, and we have offered our support in any way we can. Further, JELF has partnered with the ADL to ensure that our recipients, who attend 170+ college programs nationwide, knowhow to report any hate they may experience.
In the face of increasing anti-Semitism on our college campuses and the rise of hate groups, we believe that JELF’s mission becomes even more critical. By offering opportunities for education and empowering future generations, JELF is actively combating ignorance and prejudice, and in doing so, contributing to a brighter future for our community.
We also recognize that the events in Israel weigh heavily on the minds of many of our donors, volunteers and board members. We are grateful that many of you are engaged in helping the people of Israel through dedicated charitable organizations working hard to get aid to those who need it.
Thank you for your continued dedication to JELF, and for your unwavering support of our mission. As we face these challenging times, let us remember the power of education, understanding, and unity in the face of adversity.
Sincerely,
Rob Rickles, Board Chair
Jenna Leopold Shulman, CEO
