On the evening of Thursday, April 18, more than ninety emerging leaders came together at the Distillery of Modern Art in Chamblee for a vibrant evening of connection, cocktails, and community impact — all in support of JELF’s mission.
“JELF on the Rocks” was hosted by a dedicated group of young professional volunteers who worked tirelessly to bring the event to life. Thanks to their leadership and energy — and the generosity of our attendees and sponsors — the evening netted nearly $10,000 to support interest-free loans for Jewish students across our region.
The event featured brief remarks from Jenna Shulman, JELF’s CEO, who welcomed the group and thanked everyone for their commitment to ensuring access to higher education. Emily Sauerteig, current JELF Board Chair, also spoke about the organization’s long-standing mission and growing reach. Jared Seff, a JELF board member and part of the event’s host committee, shared a personal reflection on why he continues to support JELF and believes so deeply in its impact.
The energy in the room was open and engaging, with a few thoughtful questions posed by attendees — reinforcing that this was not just a social gathering, but a chance to reflect on shared values and the role we each play in helping others succeed.
It was a special evening — one that reminded us that when community and purpose come together, the results are always powerful.
