Meet Our Student Panelists:
Moderator
Elan Levine
Originally from Charleston, SC, Elan is a recent graduate from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary where he earned degrees in film & media studies and Jewish literature. During his undergraduate studies, Elan was an Incident Response Intern with the Anti-Defamation League, and he was a part of the team that compiled data for the 2023 Audit of Antisemitic Incidents, which was presented to Congress in the spring.
This past summer, Elan worked at Columbia/Barnard Hillel as the IACT Birthright Coordinator, responsible for overseeing Birthright Israel Recruitment and a member of the engagement team, which works with students across the undergraduate community at Columbia University, Barnard College, The Jewish Theological Seminary, and the Manhattan School of Music. Although Elan intends to pursue law school in the near future, his strong upbringing in the Charleston Jewish Community, Camp Judaea in North Carolina, and United Synagogue Youth helped him with deciding to commit himself to Jewish Communal work in the interim.

Jack Fingeroot
Jack is a rising senior from Tallahassee, Florida attending the University of Denver and majoring in biology. Fascinated and motivated by modern treatments of diseases, Jack aims to pursue a career in medicine or biological research. On campus, Jack has been heavily involved in the Jewish community since his freshman year; he was previously Vice President of Hillel and currently serves on the Chabad Student Board.
Aside from campus-life, Jack has also volunteered in Israel on date orchards and in soup kitchens, and will be returning to Israel in December for more volunteer work.

Hannah Foster
A second year student at the University of Florida, Hannah is pursuing a degree in public relations. She is involved on campus as a Cicerone (official student ambassadors to the University of Florida), a preview staffer (orientation leader), member of the Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority, and Assistant Director of Public Relations for Florida Blue Key.
Being involved on campus is not only important, but a great passion for Hannah. “I am so grateful to have these opportunities and be as involved as I am. And of course, Go Gators!”

Sadie Klaff
Sadie is a senior at The Ohio State University, where she is double majoring in psychology and minoring in health and wellness. She actively contributes to campus life through leadership roles in Chabad, Hillel and Greek life, and gains practical experience as an intern with the Ohio State athletics department.
In her role as a fitness instructor and personal trainer at the university’s recreational center, Sadie combines her academic knowledge with hands-on experience in wellness. Her commitment to community service is highlighted by her involvement with Make a Wish through her sorority’s philanthropy. Despite obstacles along the way, Sadie remains focused and driven, looking forward to applying her skills and passion to make a significant impact in the field of sports psychology and wellness.

Ariel Nurieli
Ariel is a rising senior at Columbia University from South Florida, double majoring in computer science and mathematics. After graduating high school in 2016, Ariel served as a combat officer in the Israeli Defense Forces, reaching the rank of captain and receiving the Presidential Award for Excellence.
Ariel is passionate about advocacy and technology, with aspirations to become self-employed and develop innovative tech products. Financing his education independently, Ariel works part-time as a teaching assistant and goes back and forth between NYC and Israel serving in the IDF.

Samuel Rosenberg
Samuel, a junior at Yale University from Charleston, SC, is majoring in philosophy and plans to either attend law school or go into Jewish education after college.
On campus, Samuel is a member of the Hillel Student Board and the Yale Friends of Israel board, he tutors 5th-grade students in Hebrew at a local synagogue, and he is one of the leaders of the Orthodox Jewish community at Yale. This past summer, Samuel worked as the Head Counselor (Rosh Moshava) at Camp Stone, and he’s excited to now be at work again on campus.
